Unfortunately, I have had more important things to focus on than this site over the past few months.

Over those few months the spam on this site has overflowed! Surprised

I'm not sure what to do here.

  Cloudflare Service
Posted by: TeraByTe - 08-14-2011 03:08 PM - Replies (1)

I've decided to test Cloudflare services. The reason behind such action is an attempt to thwart some of the larger DDOS attacks we've been experiencing. I've known about and have been using Cloudflare for months at site like Game Fuze. It's been effective but at times buggy. However I feel the potential benefits outweigh the problems.

I contacted Cloudflare support over a week ago requesting information about handling HI and our 40 thousand monthly page views site. They assured me their service can handle it. Last night we experienced large attacks again and I felt I had nothing to lose by trying Cloudflare.

I'm aware of the pitfalls that using CF will bring. I've already begun to make firewall adjustments and changes to HI files in order to lessen these effects.

But the benefits of using CF are huge. They act as a reverse proxy and a WAF. They have geo tools for blocking countries built in. And they offering caching of content.

One of the negatives of course is less control. If they go down we go down. And there is that annoying captcha they throw up every now and again. But we go down sometimes regardless.

DNS changes were made in order to use Cloudflare service. For some that can't connect it's because of that reason. So if you can view www but not hallwayinsider.com that's DNS problems and will eventually resolve itself.

At this time I've lowered some of the CF security settings until we can flush out some issues. Their Challenge Passage TTL I have set to 1 day. I'd disable it but they don't have that option. I did customize the page but that might not take hold for hours.

In short we're aware of some Cloudflare problems today. We can only wait it out and see if it improves. Cloudflare Pro is only costing me $5 a month since I already have 2 other sites as Pro. So cost wise it's a no-brainer. Some of the other reliable reverse proxy DDOS protections I have seen start at $300 and go to $5000 a month. A cost I've not yet decided we need just because we go down a few hours every now and then. But I will continue to make adjustments to keep us online.

So please just be patient. You don't need to make a new thread evertime CF pop you an error. I will be closely monitoring activity and how CF handles our site.

  September 2011

In September, after my hosting expires, I will most likely move to an off shore server where I can host hacking based topics.

That is all. Angel

  Site re done.
Posted by: TeraByTe - 07-12-2011 01:47 PM - Replies (13)

Hey everyone.

I decided to completely re do Hallway Insider. I noticed that the site was loading really slowly unlike my other sites, so I took some time to re do this sucker. Hehe!
Anyway, I got a new theme, and I added the award system. The site is not completely finished yet, but some of the updates are obvious and some are not.

I removed the old ranking style and replaced it with star rankings, I believe it looks less tacky.

More features and benefits for Prestige and VIP members will be added, also the subscription rate will be increased to a life time subscription instead of 1 year.

A new award has been placed for donators ( Rich Bitch ).

If you donate over $50 you get the master donator ruby which is a different award. <3

New prefixes are also being added.

A new paid to post system will be added in the future, where you can cash out you HICash for real cash, so start racking up now with great High Quality posts.

The chat is now located You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

I will update this thread as more things are re done on the site.

Have a great day everyone and please enjoy your stay at Hallway Insider <3

  We are back. :)

So yeah, guy's we were suspended for a little under 18 hours. Apparently when I was told I could have links to warez material I was given false information. That's ok, I have decided to work on MyBB plugins, as I find it quite fun actually Smiling

If you want to read the email that got us suspended, you can view it below.

A couple of things I would like to add onto the email below is that

1.) I do not, have not, and will not steal credit cards, it was a rumor started by a troll that got pissed when I banned him from a popular Lockerz chat (Alaganti).

2.) I did not take down any web host for months, or even seconds, trust me, if I did I would take pride in that, as most of you know I am a grey hat, if you didn't know I'm a grey hat, now you do Smiling.

3.) About attempting to apply for staff on Almighty Servers, to hack his site, well I must admit that's what I had planned on doing at first, but then Gray started being a little less of a skid, so I decided it would actually be cool to work at live support.

4.) I did not steal content from his site, if he is referring to me having the Prize Forums database. I'm finished taking all the fall for everything that happens to him. A source that also worked with me at his old host, is the one that logged onto the Prize Forums cPanel, and gave me the dump. That source is still a trust-able friend so I won't reveal his name, so I do not betray our friendship.

5.) I did not apply to his old web host to hack his files, it was not until after I was accepted did I realize he was even hosting there. I applied to be an abuse agent with Imtiaz, and was accepted, I had virtually no troubles with Gray until he opened his competing Lockerz alerter, and put down mine, after I opened my new Lockerz Alerter. I soon was interested in the project, and entered in under an alias, gained trust, and revealed who I really was, my goal in this was to show that I had access to his files for almost a month, and still did not touch them, I was suggested to do this at the time.

6.) The Lockerz account. Sure I hacked it, if that's what you call hacking. It's a long story, that I can't really recall to well, it involved having some passwords already and eventually ended up with his email and Lockerz pass. I added my friends address and ordered a $25 gift card, which was cancelled.

7.) Swag Forums. I was all for swag forums and was willing to be a part of the project. It seemed pretty cool, and seemed like it had potential. However I lost all respect and interest in the project, when the obvious came along, the old Prize Forums database was imported again. I do still have faith in the Swag Forums project, and wish it luck. However when the site came back online, I noticed spam, that's one thing I don't like, it's skid like, and just shouldn't be done. I'm all for black hat SEO, but not spam.

8.) I wish to talk to Gray, about this chat log planning to hack his site. I'm pretty sure I didn't say that.

If you were mentioned in this thread as one of my "source"'s and wish to make your self known, feel free to do so.

As a result of the suspension, the warez section has been deactivated. The warez section was being spammed by post bots anyway. Not too worried about the Warez sector being down.

Quote:Hello DailyRazor. My name is Gray Adams. This morning I had received a chat log from an anonymous user displaying one of your clients planning to hack one of my websites hosted separately on AlmightyServers.com.

Unfortunately, this was not the first time I had been hacked or received a hack-threat from this single person.

His/her name can go by any of the following:
- Dylan Terrell
- Lucas
- TeRaByTe

He is the owner of the domain: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. (that is indeed hosted here at DailyRazor).

Upon being notified of his plans, I contacted Dan, the owner of AlmightyServers (my website host) to help address the issue. He too was aware of someone by the name of: Dylan Terrell.

He alerted me that Dylan Terrell attempted to apply to become a staff member at the website host. Luckily, I had notified Dan prior to him considering allowing this hacker into their website hosting service.

Dylan/Lucas/TeRaByTe had previously done a similar act on my old website host. He had applied to become a staff member at the old website host and once accepted, stole my files and uploaded it to his own website, spammed my email, and hacked the website host itself.

Dylan had also stolen my account from the website: Lockerz.com, managed by Kathy Savitt (twitter.com/ksavitt). Lockerz is a points earning website aimed at being the quickest way to earn free stuff. He had used my account to redeem an item from the website and then shipped it to his own house.

Dylan is a minor, 17 years old, and lives in Georgia.

He is also currently distributing Warez content on his website (hallwayinsider.com) which as we both know is a federal violation. Warez, by definition, is the distribution of copyrighted content performed illegally and/or without the consent of creator of the content.

The request behind this message is that his website to be suspended if not shutdown entirely. Hosting his website will not only put you, as a host, in danger of lawsuits and charges, but put the security of your website host at risk.

I hope to see his website shutdown/suspended within 24 hours.

His website was shutdown by his old website host for stealing content.

Quick Summary:
Hacked an entire website host and shut them down for months. Stole content from not only my website but others. Attempted to hack my website again on a separate host (AlmightyServers.com) by becoming a staff member and gaining access to my files. Distributing Warez content (proof found in the logo of his website: hallwayinsider.com. Hacked multiple accounts at the website: Lockerz.com. Supposedly stole credit cards. Active member of skidforums.com.

If you need more verification, feel free to ask.

Thank you,
